1) Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to the Aargoya mobile application, website, and related services (together, the “Platform”) operated by Gyankaar Technologies Private Limited (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
Aargoya is designed to help users talk through everyday health concerns and understand possible next steps. This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.
2) Scope and consent
This policy covers the Aargoya Android application, the website at aargoya.bharataiworks.com, and services made available through them. By choosing to use the Platform, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. Where applicable law requires separate consent, we will ask for it at the relevant time.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Platform.
3) Information we may collect
3.1 Information you provide
- Account and contact information: such as your name, email address, phone number, login details, and profile settings.
- Health conversations: symptoms, concerns, medical context, age range, lifestyle information, or other details you choose to share while using Aargoya.
- Support communications: messages, feedback, and attachments you send to our support team.
- Purchase information: transaction references and subscription status supplied by an app store or payment provider. We do not ordinarily receive complete card or bank-account details.
3.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and app data: device type, operating system, app version, language, and identifiers permitted by your settings.
- Usage and diagnostics: feature interactions, timestamps, IP address, crash reports, performance data, and security events.
- Approximate location: inferred from technical data or provided with permission when a feature genuinely needs it.
4) Device permissions
Aargoya may request access to features such as the microphone, notifications, or media only when needed for a feature you choose to use. You can change these permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work if a required permission is disabled.
5) How we use information
- Provide and operate Aargoya’s conversational health-information features.
- Generate responses, follow-up questions, safety notices, and general next-step guidance.
- Create and secure accounts, prevent misuse, and investigate technical or security problems.
- Respond to support requests and send service-related communications.
- Understand performance and improve reliability, usability, and safety.
- Process subscriptions or purchases when paid features become available.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
6) AI and health-data processing
- Your prompts and relevant conversation context may be processed by our systems and trusted AI or infrastructure providers to generate a response.
- Health conversations may be stored securely with your account so that features such as conversation history can work, where enabled.
- We do not sell your health conversations or use them for targeted advertising.
- We will not use your personal conversations to train general-purpose AI models without your explicit consent.
- Aargoya’s output is automated health information. It is not a confirmed diagnosis and is not a substitute for professional medical care.
7) Sharing and disclosures
7.1 Service providers
We may share the minimum information necessary with vetted providers that support cloud hosting, AI processing, authentication, communications, analytics, customer support, security, and payments. These providers are expected to handle information only for the agreed service and under appropriate safeguards.
7.2 Legal and safety reasons
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect a person from serious harm, investigate fraud or abuse, or defend our rights and the integrity of the Platform.
7.3 Business changes
Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and appropriate notice.
8) Cookies and similar technologies
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for essential operation, preferences, security, and aggregated analytics. You can control cookies through your browser, although disabling essential cookies may affect functionality.
9) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards, which may include encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring, secure development practices, and regular updates. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please protect your account credentials and notify us if you suspect unauthorised access.
10) Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Platform, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by data type. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it where reasonably possible.
11) Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, withdraw certain consent, or object to certain processing. You can also manage app permissions and communication preferences through your device or account settings.
To submit a privacy request, email privacy@bharataiworks.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
12) Children’s privacy
Aargoya is not intended for children to use independently. If you are under the age at which you can consent to data processing in your location, use the Platform only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information without appropriate permission.
13) Third-party services
The Platform may link to third-party websites, healthcare resources, or app-store services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for those practices.
14) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Aargoya evolves or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here with a new “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required.
